Joomla 3.1 – Getting To Know the Front Page
STEPS
1) Go to your Joomla! start page.
1.1) An interesting feature of Joomla version 3 is that this version comes with a responsive layout feature. E.g., if you reduce the size of your web browser, the page layout changes to accommodate the new size width.
Notice below that as the browser gets smaller, the side bar (disappear and it actually) moves down to the bottom of the page.
1.2) If you further reduce the browser’s width, the page eventually looks like below.
1.3) The Side Bar goes to the bottom of the page. This has been made possible through the use of Cascading Style Sheet and Modular Content Structure.
2) Understanding Joomla Layout.
A) Website Title.
B) Menu Module.
C) Header Image.
D) Menu Item (List of Articles).
E) Columns Layout.
F) Breadcrumb.

3.2.3) The Article menu on sidebar.
3.3) Login as member/administrator of the site to use authorized functions.
4) How to Tell if a Website Is Running Joomla.
4.1) Scroll down to the bottom of the page.
4.2) View the source code of the page (if you are using Chrome Browser, press F12).
